VINFAST ROLLS OUT ITS 1-MILLIONTH ELECTRIC SCOOTER

HAI PHONG, June 12, 2026 – VinFast officially announced the rollout of its 1-millionth electric scooter today, marking a historic milestone in the development journey of Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle (EV) brand.

The one-millionth vehicle, a red Feliz II, rolled off the production line at VinFast’s electric automobile and motorcycle manufacturing complex in the northern port city of Hai Phong. This model is currently one of the market's top favorites, featuring an elegant, modern design and a flexible battery pack that can be removed for home charging or swapped at battery-swapping stations.

This milestone represents the significant progress made by VinFast electric scooters over nearly eight years. Since launching the pioneering Klara model in November 2018, VinFast has manufactured one million electric scooters across nearly 15 product lines and more than 30 variants. These vehicles offer diverse technologies, features, specifications, and charging solutions tailored to the unique needs of various customer segments.

A key competitive advantage for VinFast is its comprehensive product portfolio. This includes license-free, user-friendly models designed for students, such as the Ludo, Impes, Tempest, Motio (now discontinued), Zgoo, Flazz, and Amio; popular mass-market models like the Evo, Feliz, Klara, and Vero X; and premium, high-performance models including the Vento, Theon, and Viper. Looking ahead to 2027, VinFast plans to introduce an electric sport motorcycle line with four initial models, completing its product ecosystem to satisfy nearly all customer demands and market segments.

In terms of technology, VinFast has made remarkable strides, rapidly upgrading from early lead-acid battery models to high-quality, durable, and safe LFP batteries across its entire lineup. Alongside fixed-battery models, VinFast has pioneered vehicles with dual removable batteries, allowing users to charge at home or swap batteries at battery-swapping stations, extending the vehicle's driving range while maximizing user convenience.

In addition to technological breakthroughs, VinFast electric scooters have become increasingly competitive in terms of price. The company’s authorized distribution network has also expanded to nearly 750 locations nationwide, providing consumers with easy access to sales, maintenance, and repair services.

Supported by an extensive network of charging stations and battery-swapping cabinets that eliminate adoption barriers, VinFast has recorded explosive sales growth in recent years, highlighted by a record 406,453 electric scooters sold in 2025 alone.

To meet growing domestic demand and support its export strategy, VinFast has invested in an additional electric motorcycle manufacturing plant in the Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh Province), complementing its primary facility in Hai Phong. While firmly consolidating its number-one position in Vietnam, VinFast is aggressively expanding its electric motorcycle business into five international markets: Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, carrying Vietnamese electric motorcycles to the global stage.
