VINFAST LAUNCHES VF 2, A COMPACT CITY CAR PRICED AT VND 188 MILLION

Hanoi, July 5, 2026 – VinFast officially unveiled the VF 2, a strategic electric vehicle model designed to make car ownership more accessible for Vietnamese consumers. Priced at just VND 188 million (including the battery), the two-door, four-seat city car offers a safe and comfortable alternative to motorcycles, helping improve the quality of urban life.

The VF 2 is a compact urban EV developed for individual customers. It has been refined and optimized from the Minio Green platform, featuring a compact, agile design that is well-suited for navigating narrow, congested city streets.

The vehicle measures 3,090 mm in length, 1,496 mm in width, and 1,663.2 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,065 mm. Its intelligently-engineered proportions maximize maneuverability while providing comfortable seating for four occupants.

The VinFast VF 2 stands out with its distinctive styling, highlighted by eye-catching details such as LED headlights and 13-inch alloy wheels that invite owners to personalize their vehicles. Inside, the cabin is equipped with modern conveniences, including a 7-inch driver information display behind the steering wheel, air conditioning, a four-way manually-adjustable driver's seat, and two integrated speakers with FM radio, ensuring every journey is comfortable and enjoyable.

The VF 2 is powered by a rear wheel drive electric motor producing a maximum output of 30 kW and 65 Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 80 km/h and offers two driving modes, Eco and Normal. Its battery has a usable capacity of 18.3 kWh, delivering a driving range of up to 210 km on a full charge under the NEDC standard. With DC fast charging of up to 24 kW, the battery can be recharged from 10% to 70% in approximately 34 minutes.

Safety is also a key priority for the VF 2. The vehicle comes equipped with a driver's airbag and a range of advanced safety features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). A MacPherson suspension system at both the front and rear provides a smooth and stable driving experience.

Priced at just VND 188 million, including the battery, the VF 2 also comes with up to 10 free charging sessions per month at V-Green public charging stations nationwide through February 10, 2029. With an ownership cost comparable to that of a premium motorcycle, while offering the practicality and advanced safety technologies of a smart electric car, the VinFast VF 2 is an accessible, safe, and convenient mobility solution for every household. It also contributes to improving urban living standards and reducing inner city pollution.

VinFast will begin accepting reservations for the VF 2 on July 15, 2026. Customers who place a deposit during the three day promotional period from July 15 to July 17, 2026 will receive a discount of VND 8 million per vehicle. The deposit is VND 10 million per vehicle, is non refundable, and may only be transferred to immediate family members, including parents, spouses, children, siblings, or to companies owned by these individuals.

The first VinFast VF 2 vehicles are expected to be delivered to customers in September 2026.
