VinFast Hai Phong Plant Rolls Out Its 200,000 Electric Vehicle in 2025

Hai Phong, December 31, 2025 – VinFast’s Hai Phong automotive manufacturing complex today officially rolled out its 200,000th electric vehicle (EV) in 2025, marking a significant milestone after more than a year of maintaining its position as the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam by a wide margin.

The 200,000 vehicles produced at VinFast Hai Phong plant in 2025 include both domestic sales and exports to international markets. In addition to the Hai Phong facility, VinFast also commenced operations at three other manufacturing plants during the year, located in Ha Tinh (Vietnam), Tamil Nadu (India), and West Java (Indonesia).

The 200,000th vehicle produced at the Hai Phong plant in 2025 is the Limo Green, a 7-seater electric MPV that has rapidly gained strong traction in the Vietnamese market. The model recorded sales of 9,642 units in November 2025 alone, setting a new all-time monthly sales record for a single vehicle model and contributing to VinFast’s highest-ever sales performance in the history of Vietnam’s automotive industry.

During the year-end peak period in December, the Hai Phong plant operated at maximum capacity, producing nearly 26,000 vehicles in the month. A daily production record was achieved on December 14, 2025, with 1,062 vehicles rolling off the production line-equivalent to an average output of nearly 43 vehicles per hour. This level of productivity is comparable to some of the world’s largest Gigafactories, underscoring the Hai Phong plant’s highly optimized manufacturing capabilities. The facility is supported by more than 1,200 ABB robots, a workforce of over 18,000 employees operating in flexible three-shift rotations, and an automation level of up to 90%.

Beyond electric passenger vehicles, the VinFast Hai Phong complex also recorded record-high production volumes in 2025 for electric motorcycles and electric buses, further reflecting the accelerating adoption of green mobility and strong public support for sustainable transportation solutions. Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Trinh Van Ngan, Deputy CEO of Global Manufacturing at VinFast, said: “Producing 200,000 electric vehicles in 2025 at the VinFast Hai Phong plant alone is a testament to the capability and relentless dedication of more than 18,000 employees working at the facility. This is a highly meaningful milestone that strengthens our confidence as we pursue even more ambitious goals ahead. With the expansion of our manufacturing footprint into key markets such as India and Indonesia, I am confident that VinFast will achieve even faster and stronger growth in 2026 and the years to come.”

As of November 2025, VinFast delivered a total of 147,450 electric vehicles across all models, firmly reinforcing its absolute leadership position in the domestic market. With record production volumes achieved in December, VinFast is expected to conclude 2025 with the highest sales volume and market share ever recorded in the history of Vietnam’s automotive industry.
